Why do I get acid reflux?
Acid reflux and heartburn can be caused by an assortment of things. Some of these include: H. pylori bacterium, an over acidic stomach, eating a large meal, digestive problems or a damaged lower esophageal sphincter.
People usually suffer from acid reflux because they have a damaged lower esophageal sphincter and esophagus. acid reflux damage is sometimes nominal, but it is sometimes extreme. However it can be eliminated easily!
Acid reflux and heartburn occurs when vapors from the stomach acid makes contact with the sores on the esophagus. When acid fumes or acid come in contact with the lesions in your esophagus they will cause pain - a burning sensation in the chest area. The pain is similar to getting acidic vinegar on a cut.
Drinking orange or tomato juice can be a painful experience for someone with esophagus lesions, as the acid in the juice will burn their throat. People that don’t have pain, obviously never get acid reflux or heartburn because their digestive organs are working properly.

What is Acid Reflux?
GERD is the most common name for Acid Reflux. It is the acronym of the medical term Gastroesophageal reflux disease. Acid reflux (GERD) is the regurgitation (back up, or refluxed) of stomach acid into the esophagus. Acid reflux disease can sometimes be taken for irregular heartburn because heartburn is the biggest indicator of GERD. Normal heartburn is much more infrequent that the acid reflux disease symptom of heartburn, which usually happens two or more days a week for at least three months, and can badly injure your esophagus.
Acid reflux disease occurs when the reflux of stomach acid into the esophagus is frequent enough to damage the esophagus and/or have consequences on you day-to-day living. A muscle called the lower esophageal sphincter (LES) is located at the top of your stomach, which opens and shuts to let food enter. In addition, it stops stomach acid coming backing up into the esophagus and damaging it. The LES will open at inappropriate times if someone suffers from GERD, letting acid come up from the stomach and into the esophagus.
GERD can result in critical medical conditions that require hospitalization and even surgery. GERD can sometimes result in acid making its way into the lungs - causing causing coughing or wheezing. Acid reflux in the throat can cause sore throat. If acid reaches the mouth, it can dissolve the enamel of the teeth. More on Acid Reflux
