By means of a simple user interface, the user defines a Gerald Script. This script indicates the specific information that should be collected. Scripts can collect data such as Registry Keys and Values, INI File Entries, File version, size, and date information, and System information (e.g. Physical RAM, Hard Disk capacity, Processor Speed). In addition to specifying the information to collect, the user can specify the properties for what should be done with the collected data. Once the Script and output options have been defined, they can be compiled into a single executable file called a Collector. This Collector is then sent to the destination computer. When executed, it automatically collects all the information and outputs it as requested.
