I had a chronic case of snoring.

- Snoring arises by a blocked air passage, in that way inhibiting easy and usual breathing while sleeping.
- Muscles in the airway are kept open when you are awake, but sag inwards during sleep. When they relax too much they block the breathing passage and snoring occurs.
- The more the throat is blocked by the muscles, the louder the snoring.
- Breathing through the mouth (as a result of a nasal blockage) can cause snoring. The back of the throat can be obstructed by the uvula when the mouth is open and the tongue is forced back.
