I had a very bad snoring problem.
Even when I was young it was a problem - trips with friends could be difficult because I'd keep them up all night long with my snoring.

- Snoring takes place when the air passage is impeded, therefore inhibiting simple and normal breathing during sleep.
- When awake the muscles of the throat keep the throat open but when asleep these muscles go into a relax mode & sag inward. Snoring happens when these muscles become too relaxed and start to block the throat.
- Snoring can be caused by a nasal blockage (i.e. when somebody has a cold) and as the personal is force to breathe through their mouth they can begin to snore. The uvula can block the back of the throat if the tongue pushes it back when the mouth is open.
