I had a very bad snoring problem.
When I was young, trips with friends would be terrible as my snoring would keep them up all night.

Snoring Facts
- Snoring occurs when the air passage is hindered, thus inhibiting usual and easy breathing while asleep.
- Snoring can be the result of a nasal blockage, when the mouth has to be used to inhale. In an open-mouth position the tongue is pushed back causing the uvula to press against the back of the throat.
- The noise level of snoring increases as the breathing passage becomes more blocked.
- Muscles in the airway are kept open when you are awake, but sag inwards during sleep. When they relax too much they block the breathing passage and snoring occurs.
- There are many reasons why the throat can become blocked by muscles that swell or relax too much, including: smoking, alcohol, sleeping pills, enlarged tonsils, blocked nose, sinusitis, excess body weight, cough mixture containing dextromethorphan or an allergy to dust, mold, wheat or eggs. Other causes are an oversized uvula or nasal pathway deformities.
