I snored chronically.

Snoring Facts

  • Snoring develops in situations where the air passage is blocked, thereby inhibiting normal breathing while sleeping.


  • Muscles in the throat, which are open while the body is awake, relax and sag during sleep. Snoring occurs when the airways is blocked by muscles that relax too much.


  • Snoring is noisier the more the airway is blocked.


  • Nasal blockages can cause snoring because the person has to breathe through their mouth. When the mouth is open, the tongue gets pushed back and makes the uvula to push against the back of the throat.
