I had a very bad snoring problem.

When I was young, trips with friends would be terrible as my snoring would keep them up all night.

Snoring Facts

  • Snoring develops in situations where the air passage is blocked, thereby inhibiting normal breathing while sleeping.


  • Snoring can be the result of a nasal blockage, when the mouth has to be used to inhale. The uvula can block the back of the throat if the tongue pushes it back when the mouth is open.


  • The noise level of snoring increases as the breathing passage becomes more blocked.


  • Muscles in the airway are kept open when you are awake, but sag inwards during sleep. Snoring happens when these muscles become too relaxed and start to block the throat.
