I snored chronically.

Snoring Facts

  • Snoring occurs when the air passage is hindered, thus inhibiting usual and easy breathing while asleep.


  • The muscles in the throat are kept open while a person is awake, but when they are asleep they relax and close up. When they relax too much they block the breathing passage and snoring occurs.


  • Snoring can be caused by a nasal blockage (i.e. when somebody has a cold) and as the personal is force to breathe through their mouth they can begin to snore. When the mouth is open, the tongue gets pushed back and makes the uvula to push against the back of the throat.
