I had a terrible snoring problem.
In my youth it was a problem going on trips with friends - my snoring would keep them awake all night.

- Snoring develops in situations where the air passage is blocked, thereby inhibiting normal breathing while sleeping.
- Throat muscles stay wide open when the body is awake, but at the onset of sleep they relax inwards. Snoring happens when these muscles become too relaxed and start to block the throat.
- A nasal blockage causes one to breathe through the mouth which can lead to snoring. In an open-mouth position the tongue is pushed back causing the uvula to press against the back of the throat.
