I had a chronic case of snoring.

- Snoring takes place when the air passage is impeded, therefore inhibiting simple and normal breathing during sleep.
- Breathing through the mouth (as a result of a nasal blockage) can cause snoring. In an open-mouth position the tongue is pushed back causing the uvula to press against the back of the throat.
- Snoring is noisier the more the airway is blocked.
- When awake the muscles of the throat keep the throat open but when asleep these muscles go into a relax mode & sag inward. Snoring results from the muscles relaxing too much and blocking the throat.
