I had a terrible snoring problem.

When I was young, trips with friends would be terrible as my snoring would keep them up all night.

Snoring Facts

  • Snoring develops in situations where the air passage is blocked, thereby inhibiting normal breathing while sleeping.


  • A nasal blockage causes one to breathe through the mouth which can lead to snoring. The tongue is pushed back when the mouth is open, and makes the uvula to press against the throat.


  • Muscles in the airway are kept open when you are awake, but sag inwards during sleep. When they relax more than necessary the airway can become blocked and snoring will result.


  • Snoring becomes louder as the muscles relax more.
