Release RAM Screen Shots

The Release RAM screen allows you to perform a manual free up of RAM. It also displays some useful system information.

The Automatic screen is the core function of Release RAM. From here you can set Release RAM to free up some RAM when the available RAM drops below a certain level therefore preventing you from running out of memory.

You can set Release RAM to do regular free-ups at intervals between 5 minutes and 24 hours on the Time Intervals screen.

The Startup/Other screen allows you to set some settings for how Release RAM behaves when it starts up. Also some misc settings can be found here.

The Release RAM Launcher function allows you to run your favorite memory hungry applications from a program menu in the R-RAM tray icon. This works differently from the standard "Windows Start Menu" as it will free up some memory just before it launches your applications enabling them to start more efficiently.

Winows 95/98/ME version only. Using the Cache Settings feature you can configure your computer to use its RAM to best suit the way you use your computer. You can use one of the preset options or manually set the cache settings yourself. Preset settings includes : Standard System, Power User, Multimedia, 3D Games, CD Writer, Low Memory System

Winows 95/98/ME version only.The Optimize Swapfile screen allows you to optimize your virtual memory settings. This can lead to increased efficiency and less disk fragmentation. This can lessen virtual memory re-sizing, disk swapping, and constant hard disk access.

This screen's primary purpose is for displaying registration information.

Windows 2000/XP version only. The Processes Manager shows a list of all the applications, which are currently running. It also allows you to close running applications and change their priorities in the Windows environment.

Windows 2000/XP version only. This screen shows you a history of available RAM and virtual memory usage during your current session. This can be useful to see how much of your memory is being used during the recent period of time.

The Release RAM Help feature is extremly user-friendly. Simple press the "Light Bulb" button from any screen and it will display the help topic associated with items in that screen.
