My name is Michelle. In April 2002, I was newly pregnant and starting to become anxious about my changing body, both inside and out.
With fifteen years of experience as a Nutrition & Health Coach, a Holistic Nutrition Masters Degree, a Certificate in Personal Training, and a Psychology Degree, I thought I had the whole pregnancy, body, food thing worked out – BOY WAS I WRONG!

I had SO MANY Questions
• How much weight SHOULD I gain? Am I gaining too fast?

So, being the information hound that I am, I went looking for all the answers. Sadly, I came up short. Most of the fashionable pregnancy books were either too playful (not giving me enough practical advice) or too medical (making me more anxious and nervous).
The general feeling out there that I realized is that pregnancy is quite a struggle, that pregnant women often gain a lot of weight, wear over-sized clothing, feel terribly uncomfortable & have NO energy
Not me! I was eager to LOOK good, feel great, and have TRUCK LOADS of energy during my pregnancy. I also aimed to be FREE of aches and pains, dress hot & sexy and of course have an easy time losing weight after having my baby.
And I did it.
Most New Moms are Full of Regret
Most pregnant women let themselves go, indulge in their cravings, stop exercising and use pregnancy as an excuse to eat the house.
There’s no arguement that when you have a larger belly, feel sick & nauseous and have aches and pains – the last thing you feel like doing is getting up off the couch or thinking about what you’re about to eat.
And that's why most pregnant women gain extra weight than they should, struggle to achieve weight loss afterwards, and often feel miserable as a result.
How many times do you hear moms complaining about the “last” 5 or 10 pounds from pregnancy that they just CAN’T get rid of?
And how many females do you know that have turned to using restrictive diets and strict exercising routines (all the weight-loss “tricks”) to remove those UNWANTED pounds after pregnancy?
Unfortunately, many females spend the remainder of their lives feeling like they’ll never get their old-self back– they no longer feel sexy or attractive.

Pregnancy Books Are Generally About BABY
Pregnancy books will tell you to eat and additional 300 calories, and to exercise – but that’s just about all. I couldn't find anywhere exactly WHAT I could or should do in any detail.
Even though I was an “expert” in non-pregnancy fitness, I had TONS to learn about “pregnancy + fitness”. I remember how I tried to find out HOW I should modify my general exercise routine for my pregnancy – what I needed to AVOID and what was safe to do.
You think it would be rather easy to find simple advice like - don’t lift over your head or lie on your back after the first trimester, it wasn’t! I knew how to work out my abdominals, but I didn’t know EXACTLY what I could or couldn’t do now that I was pregnant
And it wasn’t just working out - I can remember having questions about hair dye and herbal teas that I couldn’t find straight answers to.
Being a coach – I realized that I would have to CREATE my OWN pregnancy program if I was going to be a HEALTHY and SEXY pregnant mama!
Only after I had had my baby and started talking to other pregnant women, then I found – many asked the questions that I already had the ANSWERS for.
