Why do I get heartburn?
Heartburn and acid reflux can originate from a range of different things. Some of these can be: Digestive problems, an over acidic stomach, eating a large meal, H. pylori bacterium, or a damaged lower esophageal sphincter.
A damaged LES (lower esophageal sphincter) and esophagus is the most common reason for heartburn. The injury from heartburn can be small or large. Nonetheless it is simple to cure!
People suffer from heartburn and acid reflux when the fumes from stomach acid touches wounds on the esophagus. When they come into contact it will cause pain - like a burning feeling in the chest. It's the same kind of pain as getting acidic vinegar on a cut.

What is Heartburn?
Heartburn is an ache located behind the breast bone, and feels like your chest is burning on the inside. Also, it can be felt in the same area but closer to the backbone. At one time or another, nearly everyone suffers from heartburn. The name heartburn is actually misleading, because it is a digestive problem. Heartburn is usually linked to posture and meals, and can sometimes be relieved using treatments for indigestion.
What Causes Heartburn?
The stomach has acid in it, which is there to digest food. You suffer heartburn when miniscule amounts of stomach acid come up into the gullet (esophagus) - this event is named reflux.
