Why do I get acid reflux?
Acid reflux and heartburn can have different causes. Some of these include: Digestive problems, a damaged lower esophageal sphincter, an over acidic stomach, eating a large meal or H. pylori bacterium.
People usually suffer from acid reflux because they have a damaged lower esophageal sphincter and esophagus. The harm caused by acid reflux varies - sometimes it is very slight, other times it can be quite major. However it can be eliminated easily!
Acid reflux and heartburn occurs when vapors from the stomach acid makes contact with the sores on the esophagus. This can be very painful - best described as a burning sensation in the chest. Have you ever got acidic vinegar on a wound? It hurts!
Pain can be felt if you drink tomato or orange juice and the acid in the juice comes into contact with grazes on the esophagus. People who don't feel this pain don't get acid reflux or heartburn because their digestive system is working effectively.
Can I Correct It?
Of course you can, 90% of the people who have read my publication have been totally cured of their acid reflux problems. They are enjoying a life that is free of pain, anxiety, burping and embarrassment. You can too!
I studied for several years - trying to figure out what was going on inside my body. I finally got my head around the cause of acid reflux, and gastroesophageal reflux disease.

What is Acid Reflux?
GERD is the most common name for Acid Reflux. It is the acronym of the medical term Gastroesophageal reflux disease. Acid reflux (GERD) is the condition where stomach acid is regurgitated into the esophagus. Acid reflux is often confused with intermittent heartburn because heartburn is the most frequent symptom of GERD. While normal heartburn is very irregular, the heartburn symptoms of acid reflux usually appear twice a week for a minimum of 12 weeks, and can harm your esophagus.
Acid reflux disease occurs when the reflux of stomach acid into the esophagus is frequent enough to damage the esophagus and/or have consequences on you day-to-day living. Positioned at the top of your stomach is a muscle called the lower esophageal sphincter, or the LES, which ordinarily opens and closes to let food in. In addition, it stops stomach acid coming backing up into the esophagus and damaging it. If somebody suffers from Acid Reflux Disease, their lower esophageal sphincter will open at unsuitable times. letting the esophagus be exposed to the strong stomach acid - which is meant to stay in the stomach!
It can then lead to significant problems that call for a hospital and maybe surgery. In some acid reflux patients, acid can be regurgitated into the lungs, causing wheezing or cough. If stomach acid gets all the way up into the throat, it can result in pain (or a 'sore throat'). The enamel on your teeth can be worn away by stomach acid if it gets into your mouth..
