Why do I get heartburn?

Heartburn and acid reflux can originate from a range of different things. A damaged lower esophageal sphincter, an over acidic stomach, eating a large meal, H. pylori bacterium or digestive problems.

Heartburn is most commonly caused by a damaged lower esophageal sphincter and esophagus. Injury from heartburn can vary from being minor to being extensive. However it can be fixed very easily!

Stomach acid fumes coming into contact with lacerations on their esophagus is the cause of heartburn, acid reflux. This can hurt a lot - a burning sensation in the chest area. It's the same kind of pain as getting acidic vinegar on a cut.

If someone is experiencing pain when they drink acidic juice (like orange or tomato) they probably have a damaged esophagus. Evidently, if drinking acidic juice doesn't cause someone pain they probably never get heartburn or acid reflux because their digestive organs are working effectively.

Can I Correct It?

Yes! My treatment has been effective (permanently!) for 90% of the people that have tried it. They are living it up, with a life that is free of burping, embarrassment, anxiety - and most of all pain! You could be next!

I researched for years to get my head around what was causing me so much pain and embarrassment. At last I realized the reason for heartburn, and gastroesophageal reflux disease.

What is Heartburn?

heartburn diagram Heartburn is a pain behind the breast bone, often described as ‘burning’ in quality. It can also be felt in line with the heart but closer to the person's back. The pain of heartburn is felt by nearly everyone at some point. Heartburn is actually a digestive problem - not a heart condition. Heartburn is generally related to meals and posture and can often be relieved by remedies for indigestion.

What Causes Heartburn?

The stomach has acid in it, which is there to digest food. You suffer heartburn when miniscule amounts of stomach acid come up into the gullet (esophagus) - this is called reflux.

The esophagus does not have the same protective lining that the stomach has, so it can become tender and irritated if it is touch by the acid. More Causes of Heartburn
