Why do I get heart burn?
You can get heart burn and acid reflux from a number of different things. Some of these are: Eating a large meal, an over-acidic stomach, H. pylori bacterium, a damaged lower esophageal sphincter or digestive problems.
Damaging their lower esophageal sphincter and esophagus is the reason most people get heart burn. The pain of heart burn can very from being quite insignificant to debilitating. However it can be eliminated easily!
People get heart burn and acid reflux when stomach acid vapor and esophagus lesions come into contact. This will result in pain - like the sensation that the chest is being burnt from inside. Ever get any acidic vinegar on a cut? Hurts doesn’t it?
Drinking orange or tomato juice can be a painful experience for someone with esophagus lesions, as the acid in the juice will burn their throat. Evidently, if drinking acidic juice doesn't cause someone pain they probably never get heart burn or acid reflux because their digestive system has no problems.

What is Heartburn?
Heartburn is a chest pain (behind the breast bone), best described like an ongoing scalding feeling. Pain can also be felt at the same level in the mid-line of the back. At some point or another, almost everyone will endure the pain of heartburn. Heartburn isn't a heart condition, it's a digestive system problem. As heartburn is often the result of meals or posture, common indigestion treatments will often solve it.
What Causes Heartburn?
The body uses acid in the stomach to digest food. Heartburn happens when small amounts of acid ascend into the esophagus - the tube which carries food from the mouth to the stomach. This is called reflux.
