Why do I get GERD?
You can get GERD and heartburn from a number of different things. Some of these are: A damaged lower esophageal sphincter, H. pylori bacterium, an over acidic stomach, eating a large meal or digestive problems.
A damaged LES (lower esophageal sphincter) and esophagus is the most common reason for GERD. GERD damage is sometimes nominal, but it is sometimes extreme. However it is simple to eliminate!
Stomach acid fumes coming into contact with lacerations on their esophagus is the cause of GERD, heartburn. This contact will create pain - like the sensation that the chest is being burnt from inside. It's the same feeling as getting acid on a cut.
If you have lesions on your esophagus, you will feel pain when you drink orange or tomato juice (because of the acid in the juice). People that don’t have pain don't get GERD or heartburn because their digestive organs are in good working order.
Can I Correct It?

About GERD
Gastroesophageal reflux disease, or GERD, affects at least an estimated 5% to 7% of the global population - men, women and children. (Frequency set by once daily heartburn.) Weekly experience of acid regurgitation and/or heartburn occurs in nearly 20% of individuals.
People have a tendency to misdiagnose their GERD or ignore the symptoms, even though it is a widespread problem. This is a pity because more often than not, GERD can be successfully treated. Grave problems can result if it isn't treated correctly.
Persistent heartburn is the most frequent, but not the only symptom of GERD. (You don't always have symptoms when you have the disease.) Heartburn is so commonplace, the majority of people don't realize it can be linked to a disease. All too often, GERD is either self- treated or mistreated.
GERD is a habitual disease. Usually, treatment has to be on a long-term basis, even subsequent to the eradication of symptoms. The daily routines of the infected person needs to be addressed, as well as long-term medication. This can be accomplished through follow-up, support and education. Learn More about GERD
