Why do I get acid reflux?

You can get heartburn and acid reflux a mixture of ways. Digestive problems, a damaged lower esophageal sphincter, an over acidic stomach, eating a large meal or H. pylori bacterium. These can be all treated with our treatment for acid reflux plan.

A damaged LES (lower esophageal sphincter) and esophagus is the main reason people suffer from acid reflux. The harm caused by acid reflux varies - sometimes it is very slight, other times it can be quite major. Nevertheless, it can be cured - and quite simply too!

When stomach acid vapors touches lesions on the esophagus acid reflux and heartburn is experienced. This contact will create pain - like your chest is burning inside. Have you ever got acidic vinegar on a wound? It hurts!

Drinking orange or tomato juice can be a painful experience for someone with esophagus lesions, as the acid in the juice will burn their throat. People that don’t have pain, obviously never get acid reflux or heartburn because their digestive organs are in good working order.

Can I Correct It?

Yes! My treatment has been effective (permanently!) for 90% of the people that have tried it. They are now living unhindered by pain, anxiety, belching and embarrassment. You could join them!

I researched for years to get my head around what was causing me so much pain and embarrassment. At last I realized the reason for acid reflux, and gastroesophageal reflux disease, resulting me developing my acid reflux and heartburn treatment.

What is Acid Reflux?

Acid Reflux - heartburn diagram Medically, Acid Reflux is named Gastroesophageal reflux disease, or GERD. Acid reflux (GERD) is the regurgitation (back up, or refluxed) of stomach acid into the esophagus. Acid reflux disease (GERD) is often mistaken for occasional heartburn because heartburn is the most common indicator of acid reflux disease. While regular heartburn is only very occasional, GERD heartburn usually happens at least twice a week for at least 12 weeks, and can injure your esophagus.

Acid reflux disease occurs when the reflux of stomach acid into the esophagus is frequent enough to influence your daily life and/or harm the esophagus. A muscle called the lower esophageal sphincter (LES) is located at the top of your stomach, which normally opens and closes allowing food to enter. It also prevents the acid in your stomach from backing up into your esophagus. With GERD, the LES opens at the incorrect time, letting the esophagus be exposed to the strong stomach acid - which is meant to stay in the stomach!

Acid reflux disease can also lead to more serious medical conditions that call for a hospital and maybe surgery. GERD can sometimes result in acid making its way into the lungs - causing causing coughing or wheezing. A sore throat in acid reflux suffers is the result of acid burning the throat. If acid reaches the mouth, it can dissolve the enamel of the teeth. More on Acid Reflux
