Why do I get symptoms of acid reflux?
Acid reflux and heartburn can have several causes and symptoms. Some of these are: A damaged lower esophageal sphincter, H. pylori bacterium, an over acidic stomach, eating a large meal or digestive problems.
Damaging their lower esophageal sphincter and esophagus is the reason most people get acid reflux. The pain of the symptoms of acid reflux can very from being quite insignificant to debilitating. Nevertheless, these symptoms an be cured - and quite simply too!
People experience acid reflux and heartburn symptoms because the wounds on their esophagus are exposed to stomach acid fumes. When they come into contact it will cause pain - a burning sensation symptom in the chest area. Have you ever got acidic vinegar on a wound? It hurts!
Pain can be felt if you drink tomato or orange juice and the acid in the juice comes into contact with grazes on the esophagus. People that don’t have pain, obviously never get acid reflux symptoms or heartburn because their body is in good working order.

What is Acid Reflux?
Acid Reflux often called GERD - an abbreviation of the medical term Gastroesophageal reflux disease. Acid reflux (GERD) is the occurrence of stomach acid being regurgitated (back up, or refluxed) into the gullet (esophagus). Acid reflux disease symptoms (GERD) are often mistaken for occasional heartburn because heartburn is the biggest indicator of GERD. But unlike occasional heartburn, the heartburn symptoms of acid reflux disease usually occur 2 or more days a week for a minimum of three months, and can seriously damage your esophagus.
GERD occurs when the stomach acid rising into the esophagus is common enough to influence your daily life and/or harm the esophagus. A muscle called the lower esophageal sphincter (LES) is located at the top of your stomach, which lets food in by opening and shutting. It also works to stop stomach acid from refluxing into your esophagus. With Acid Reflux disease, the LES opens at the wrong moments, allowing acid from the stomach to get into the esophagus, where it doesn't belong.
GERD can result in critical medical conditions that demand clinical treatment, and sometimes surgery. Some suffers of GERD can find they develop a wheeze or cough because stomach acid gets into their lungs. GERD suffers can also develop a sore throat if the acid reaches it.
