Why do I get acid reflux?

You can get heartburn and acid reflux a mixture of ways. This includes: Digestive problems, an over acidic stomach, eating a large meal, H. pylori bacterium, or a damaged lower esophageal sphincter.

People usually suffer from acid reflux because they have a damaged lower esophageal sphincter and esophagus. Sometimes this acid reflux damage is minimal and other times it is quite severe. However it can be corrected - and quite easily too!

People get acid reflux and heartburn when stomach acid vapor and esophagus lesions come into contact. This can cause a lot of pain - best described as a burning sensation in the chest. It's the same feeling as getting acid on a cut.

People who have lesions on their esophagus would have a hard time drinking tomato, orange or any other acidic juice, because it would react with the sores and cause pain. People who don't feel this pain don't get acid reflux or heartburn because their digestive system has no problems.

Can I Correct It?

Of course! 90% of people who have used my method have found total relief from their previous acid reflux problem. They are making the most of their life, that is no longer hampered by pain, anxiety, burping and embarrassment. You could too!

I spent years trying to figure out what was happening inside my body. Eventually I understood what caused acid reflux, and gastroesophageal reflux disease.

What is Acid Reflux?

Acid Reflux - heartburn diagram Medically, Acid Reflux is named Gastroesophageal reflux disease, or GERD. The regurgitation of stomach acid into the esophagus is the condition of Acid reflux (GERD). Acid reflux is frequently wrongly taken for heartburn because it is the most common indication that someone has GERD. Normal heartburn is much more infrequent that the acid reflux disease symptom of heartburn, which usually happens two or more days a week for a minimum of three months, and can seriously damage your esophagus.

Acid reflux disease is when the acid rises into the esophagus repeatedly enough to influence the way you live your daily life and/or injure the esophagus. At the top of your stomach is a muscle called the lower esophageal sphincter (LES), which normally opens and closes allowing food to enter. In addition, it shelters the esophagus by preventing stomach acid from refluxing. With GERD, the LES opens at the incorrect time, letting acid come up from the stomach and into the esophagus.

It can then lead to significant problems that demand clinical treatment, and sometimes surgery. Some suffers of GERD can find they develop a wheeze or cough because stomach acid gets into their lungs. Sore throats are sometimes an indication of GERD, as the acid has burnt it. If acid reaches the mouth, it can dissolve the enamel of the teeth. More on Acid Reflux
