Why do I get acid reflux disease?
You can get acid reflux and heartburn symptoms from a number of different things. Some of these are: A damaged lower esophageal sphincter, an over acidic stomach, eating a large meal, H. pylori bacterium or digestive problems.
Acid reflux symptoms are experienced by most people as a result of having a damaged lower esophageal sphincter and esophagus. Sometimes this acid reflux damage is minimal and other times it is quite severe. Nonetheless this disease be solved in a very straightforward way!

What is Acid Reflux Disease?
GERD is the most common name for Acid Reflux. It is the acronym of the medical term Gastroesophageal reflux disease. Acid reflux (GERD) is the regurgitation (back up, or refluxed) of stomach acid into the esophagus. Acid reflux disease can sometimes be taken for irregular heartburn because heartburn is the most frequent symptom of GERD. Regular heartburn is much less frequent than the heartburn symptom of GERD - which usually occurs at least two days a week for at least 3 months and can damage your esophagus.
Acid reflux disease is when the acid rises into the esophagus repeatedly enough to impact your daily life and/or damage the esophagus. A muscle called the lower esophageal sphincter (LES) is located at the top of your stomach, which ordinarily opens and closes to let food in. It also protects the esophagus by not allowing stomach acid up. If someone has GERD, their lower esophageal sphincter will open at the wrong time, opening up the esophagus and allowing stomach acid to come into contact with it.
It can then lead to significant problems that require hospitalization and even surgery. Some suffers of GERD can find they develop a wheeze or cough because stomach acid gets into their lungs. A sore throat in acid reflux suffers is the result of acid burning the throat. The enamel on your teeth can be worn away by stomach acid if it gets into your mouth..
