Why do I get acid reflux?

You can get heartburn and acid reflux a mixture of ways. This includes: Digestive problems, an over acidic stomach, eating a large meal, H. pylori bacterium, or a damaged lower esophageal sphincter.

Acid reflux is most commonly caused by a damaged lower esophageal sphincter and esophagus. The acid reflux hurt can be tiny, or it can be huge. However it can be eliminated easily!

People get acid reflux and heartburn when stomach acid vapor and esophagus lesions come into contact. This can be very painful - like a feeling of scalding in the chest area. Have you ever got acidic vinegar on a wound? It hurts!

Drinking orange or tomato juice can be a painful experience for someone with esophagus lesions, as the acid in the juice will burn their throat. Evidently, if drinking acidic juice doesn't cause someone pain they probably never get acid reflux or heartburn because their digestive system has no problems.

Can I Correct It?

Yes! My treatment has been effective (permanently!) for 90% of the people that have tried it. They are living their life pain-free, without anxiety, belching and embarrassment. You could be one of them!

I studied for several years - trying to figure out what was going on inside my body. I finally got my head around the cause of acid reflux, and gastroesophageal reflux disease.

What is Acid Reflux?

Acid Reflux - heartburn diagram Acid Reflux often called GERD - an abbreviation of the medical term Gastroesophageal reflux disease. The regurgitation of stomach acid into the esophagus is the condition of Acid reflux (GERD). Acid reflux disease (GERD) is often mistaken for occasional heartburn because heartburn is the biggest indicator of GERD. While regular heartburn is only very occasional, GERD heartburn usually happens at least twice a week for at least three months, and can badly injure your esophagus.

Acid reflux disease is when the stomach acid comes into contact with the esophagus often enough to influence the way you live your daily life and/or injure the esophagus. Situated at the crown of the stomach is a muscle called the lower esophageal sphincter, or the LES, which ordinarily opens and closes to let food in. In addition, it stops stomach acid coming backing up into the esophagus and damaging it. If someone has GERD, their lower esophageal sphincter will open at the wrong time, allowing acid from the stomach to get into the esophagus, where it doesn't belong.

It can then lead to significant problems that require hospitalization and even surgery. Some people who suffer from acid reflux disease can get stomach acid in their lungs and start wheezing or coughing. Acid reflux in the throat can cause sore throat. The enamel on your teeth can be worn away by stomach acid if it gets into your mouth.. More on Acid Reflux
