Why do I get acid reflux?
Acid reflux and heartburn can have different causes. Some of these include: Digestive problems, an over acidic stomach, eating a large meal, H. pylori bacterium, or a damaged lower esophageal sphincter.
People usually suffer from acid reflux because they have a damaged lower esophageal sphincter and esophagus. Sometimes this damage from acid reflux is negligible and other times it is very bad. However it is simple to eliminate!
Acid reflux, heartburn happens when abrasions on the esophagus are brought into contact with fumes from the stomach acid. This contact will create pain - like the sensation that the chest is being burnt from inside. Have you ever got acidic vinegar on a wound? It hurts!
When people drink orange or tomato juice the acid in the drinks comes in direct contact with the sores and lesions on the esophagus and it causes pain. Clearly, people that don't suffer from that pain don't get acid reflux or heartburn because their digestive system has no problems.
Can I Correct It?
Of course you can, 90% of the people who have read my publication have been totally cured of their acid reflux problems. They are now loving a life that is no longer weighed down by pain, anxiety and embarrassing belching. You can be one of them!
I spent months learning why my body was giving me so much grief. I finally got my head around the cause of acid reflux, and gastroesophageal reflux disease.

What is Acid Reflux?
GERD is the most common name for Acid Reflux. It is the acronym of the medical term Gastroesophageal reflux disease. When stomach acid is regurgitated back up into the esophagus, it is known as acid reflux, or GERD. GERD can occasionally be confused with infrequent heartburn because heartburn is the most frequent symptom of GERD. Normal heartburn is much more infrequent that the acid reflux disease symptom of heartburn, which usually happens two or more days a week for no less than 12 weeks, and can harm your esophagus.
Acid reflux disease is when the stomach acid comes into contact with the esophagus often enough to influence the way you live your daily life and/or injure the esophagus. At the top of your stomach is a muscle called the lower esophageal sphincter (LES), which ordinarily opens and closes to let food in. It also protects the esophagus by not allowing stomach acid up. With GERD, the LES opens at inappropriate times, opening up the esophagus and allowing stomach acid to come into contact with it.
GERD can lead to more acute medical problems that necessitate hospital stays and possibly surgery. Some suffers of GERD can find they develop a wheeze or cough because stomach acid gets into their lungs. If stomach acid gets all the way up into the throat, it can result in pain (or a 'sore throat'). If stomach acid enters the mouth it can eat away at tooth enamel.. More on Acid Reflux
