BizDB Advance is a flexible, powerful and yet simple to use flat file database CGI software designed for use in the small to medium sized websites.
The software has a built-in database manager (for record addition, deletion and updates), an image uploader, an advanced search engine and a flexible search report generator.
It can support 1000 to 5000 records (or up to 3 MB) per database file for optimal performance. All database records are password protected.
You can use this software to support any number of text fields and an optional user uploadable image field.
The powerful search engine allows your users to (a) perform simple keywords search, and (b) search any number of text fields based on the keywords (or search terms) entered by the user on each search field. Other features include searching multiple keywords for selected database fields, excluding records belonging to selected categories or containing search terms in the selected database fields, and searching and displaying only the records submitted over the last x (selectable) days.
Search report can be sorted in ascending or decending order based on any specified field. This is an optional feature.
The layouts of the database interfaces and search reports are controlled by Html templates. You may add new database fields or a new version of Html templates to the system anytime you like without affecting the existing database.
To use our software, it is desirable that you have some basic knowledge of the Html language.
Our software is a complete database and search engine on its own. You can install it on any Unix or Linux based Web servers as far as it can execute Perl CGI scripts. No other database software is required. You can install our software even without any CGI programming knowledge.
Our software is delivered in the form of a ZIP file which contains all the cgi scripts (Perl codes), the sample Html templates and a comprehensive installation and user documentation.
A Web based BizDB Installer is provided for easy installation and maintenance. Installation of our sample database can be completed within minutes.
Numerous add-ons (must be ordered separately) are available to help you extending the current software features and system maintainability.
